Our yoga instructors

Tracy began her Iyengar Yoga journey in 2007 as a student, and achieved Introductory Level II designation as a Teacher Trainee in 2014. Tracy teaches the Tuesday and Thursday Level I class from 5:00 to 6:00 pm, and the noon to 1 pm class on Tuesday for all levels. You'll also find Tracy teaching at the Monday Yoga Lab sessions.

"I know from personal experience and direct observation that yoga is for everybody and the Iyengar method that we teach is an accessible and safe approach to learning and developing a yoga practice. I entered the Teacher Training program because I wanted to share the gift of these teachings with others."

The study and practice of yoga has improved Missi's life on many levels. It is fun and interesting. Join her to explore! You are never too old or too stiff to begin.

Missi is a Level 2 Iyengar yoga teacher with a background in skating and teaching. She is the mother of 5 children and 7 wonderful grandchildren.

Missi teaches the 55+ all levels class on Monday from 11:00 am to noon, the Cancer Recovery class Wednesday 9:00 to 10:30 am with Dori, and a Level 2 class from noon to 1 pm on Thursday.

Dori has enjoyed yoga practice and philosophy for many years. It is an anchor in her life. She assists in the Cancer Recovery Class, on Wednesdays from 9:00 to 10:30 am, where yoga creates the basis for a practical, compassionate refuge. It is a special group of people within our wonderful yoga community.

Mary-Ellen is entering her third year of teacher training and invites anyone interested in exploring the foundations of yoga to join her  Level 1 class Wednesday evenings, 6:30-7:45.

Mary-Ellen'syoga journey began in 2007 . Within months she found herself fascinated with the inner personal challenge of  learning to connect with her body from the inside out. The rewards of increased flexibility, lifted spirits and a warm community of support continue to fuel her committment to Iyengar yoga.

Kelly has been studying and teaching in the Iyengar tradition for more than 20 years - 15 of them in Nanaimo. She finds inspiration in social justice, community building and from her students.
